Japanese Surrender in Beijing: October 10 1945

Huanqiu Shibao’s history page carries one of the most remarkable photo galleries I have seen in some time: images of the Japanese surrender to the Nationalists in Beijing (then called Beiping, or “Northern Peace,”) on October 10, 1945.
