I’ll be arriving in Chengdu, Sichuan, tomorrow morning and anticipate having a more extended post up soon about Chinese media coverage of the Kim Jong Il visit (it’s been strange and intermittent, but significant, to say the least).
And if any one is keeping track of such things, it seems that Seattle’s Cafe Racer, a favorite place to write (and where I played a cello set with the one-man-California-band Lucas Revolution about two weeks ago), has now been christened “Seattle’s alt-rock hub” by the New York Times.
