Bach D Minor Prelude – and a debate on Chinese characters

An interesting (and hopefully extended) debate at the New York Times over unification and fragmentation of the Chinese character in the new century.

And, because it’s long overdue, my first YouTube video, which is of necessity old (from spring 2008, recorded in an apartment in Bellevue), full of little gremlins, but that’s fine for now: at least it gets the cello quotient on this blog up a bit.
